Rice Water for Hair / Benefits and Uses
Rice water is the starchy water that remains after soaking or cooking rice. Rice water contains many of the vitamins and minerals. These include amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin E, minerals, antioxidants.
How to make rice water
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of rice
2 cups of water
Rinse rice with clean water to remove dirt and other impurities.
Place rice in a bowl and pour it with water. Let the rice soak for 30 minutes. Swirl it around or lightly knead it until the water turns cloudy.
Strain out the rice water into a clean bowl.
Leave the rice water at room temperature for a day or two until it turns slightly sour and starts to ferment.
- Wash hair with shampoo.
- Rinse thoroughly with water from the tap
- Pour rice water onto their hair.
- Massage the rice water into the hair and scalp and leave on for up to 20 minutes.
- Rinse hair thoroughly using warm water from the tap.
