Vazhakkai Varual


         Raw banana fry or vazhakkai varual is a easy and simple side dish recipe. This is a crispy and delicious. You can make this raw banana fry in 20 minutes.

     Vazhakki varual is a popular Indian side dish for rice with sambar. It can pair up well with any variety rice and kuzhambu varieties. It is best side dish for lemon rice, coconut rice and curd rice.



Ingredients:

Raw Banana - 2 Nos

Oil - 3 tbsp

Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

Garam Masala - 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp

Salt - to taste


Prep Time  : 10 minutes

Cook Time : 10 minutes

Servings    : 3 people

How to raw banana fry step by step



1. Select the raw banana and peel the skin.



2. Slice into thin rounds.

3. Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal and turn into brown. Add curry leaves and saute well.



4. Add raw banana slices, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric  powder, salt and mix well. Lower the flame and cook stir every low and then.



5. Continue to cook till the raw banana pieces turns crispy and golden brown.



6. Serve raw banana fry hot with rice.
