This easy salad recipe makes a perfect side dish for any meal or a great lunch. It is a protein rich and quick and easy. Chick peas are rich in iron, protein, and folic acid. It is very good for vegetarian.
Chickpeas salad is very quick and easy to make. Use any combination of your favorite raw vegetables.
How to make Chickpeas Salad for Weight Loss
Ingredients:
Chickpeas - 1.5 cups soaked, drained, boiled
Tomato - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1/2 cup chopped
Cucumber - 1 Cup
Carrot - 1/ 4 cup
Salt - to taste
Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
Chaat Masala - 1/4 tbsp
Black Pepper - 1/4
Preparation for the Chickpea Salad:
1. Wash and soak chickpea overnight in a deep bowl.
2. In the morning, drain well using a strainer.
3. Transfer the soaked chickpeas to a pressure cooker. Add the salt and 3 cups of water.
4. Pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles over a medium flame or until they are soft. Don't over cook the chickpeas otherwise they will turn mushy.
5. Chop the tomato and cucumber carrot into small cubes.
6. Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss.
7. Check and adjust the seasoning. Enjoy.
